Welcome to the Garden
Garden Wisdom for All Ages

Get the dirt on the good life in your own backyard.

The original paradise - first home to Adam & Eve - a garden gives us shelter, nourishment, beauty, healing and comfort. But it doesn't happen by itself. A symbiotic relationship between gardener and garden yields the greatest benefit for both. Gardening brings out the best in us - teaching us patience, tuning us into the cycles of nature, strengthening our muscles to cultivate and harvest, improving our minds through attention and planning, and stimulating our imaginations with dreams of bounty. This site is for the gardener soul in every one. Whether you're experienced, seeking new ideas; or getting your hands dirty for the first time. We'll show you how to make the most of your time to get the most from your garden. Visit anytime, and often.

Down a Garden Path

A garden path makes a warm welcome to guests and a happy homecoming anytime. On the flip side, a walkway overgrown and obstructed by weeds seems to say, "Keep Away!"

How does your garden grow? Peek into a few gardens we've helped make inviting
with a little Garden Magic.

He who cultivates a garden, and brings to
     perfection flowers and fruits
Cultivates and advances at the same time
    his own nature

Gardening Notes

Get annuals into your favorite containers, window boxes and in-ground.

If planting in-ground, make sure you amend the soil with humus or sweet peat. Cultivate or rototill the new with the old for lightly loamy soil, which flowers love. Sprinkle fertilizer on the planting area - be creative! (continued)
