Remember - don't put a begonia in the shade or an impatiens in the sun. Read your tags and plant appropriately for sun exposure, heat tolerance and hydration.

Think "Outside the Pot"
Add flair to patio containers and baskets. Add a perennial with attractive foliage or shrubbery to larger containers for a fuller, dramatic effect. Experiment with agastache, boxwood, buddleia (butterfly bush), red twig dogwood or weigela.

Pruning will be essential in June, as all the sepcimens have had an opportunity to stretch and grow from the dormant winter and spring seasons. Make sure the blades on your tools are clean, sharpened and sterilized. A basic bleach solution or alcohol will clean the tools effectively.
